LETTER FROM THE FOUNDER

When I started my first business 15+ years ago – a local marketing agency – I had ZERO money and no clue how to build a business. HOWEVER, I did understand that if I was going to build the business (not a job) I wanted, then I better learn how to get new clients…and fast.

At the time, I did have one extremely valuable resource…

TIME.

So, I taught myself how to market my business with ZERO ad dollars. To get clients, I would write a lot of blog posts, social media posts, emails, and try whatever the “experts” were telling me worked.

Thinking up ideas to write about and creating content was an absolute grind.

Back then, I had the time to experiment with a lot of tactics – some worked a lot better than others.

But today, as a busy business owner, all that has changed. There’s no time to screw around.

As I’m sure you’ve experienced…as your business grows, the demands on your time expand exponentially. And, ironically, you no longer have time to do the things that helped you grow in the first place.

You find it harder and harder to keep up with everything that needs to get done.

That’s because, there is a paradox in the golf instruction universe…

The instructors who have the budget to get new clients and take work off their plate don’t need help. And the ones who need help, aren’t getting enough new clients to afford it.

And these are the waters I love to swim in. Helping those instructors who want to take their business to the next level. The level where they’re working ON their business. Not IN their business.

I’ve been described as “oddly” qualified to help.

Because I left something out of my story…

For the past decade, I’ve been the guy behind-the-guy at 18STRONG – the online golf fitness company my cousin Jeff and I started. He’s the pretty face, the physical therapist, and the golf fitness instructor. I’m the lowly digital marketing guy.

Not only do I know local marketing, but I’ve been marketing to golfers on a large scale for over a decade.

So, you’re getting access to the lessons learned that only a decade of podcasts, over 250 million emails sent, countless coaching calls, and hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on social media and advertising could produce.

More importantly, you’re going to avoid the MANY mistakes we made along the way.

We do things A LOT differently around here…

This is supposed to be fun. GOLF IS OUR “JOB”. Does it get any better than that? Other people in this world look at us like we’re aliens. And they’re not wrong.

So, this isn’t your classic, boring association that provides you with useless information to justify that you’re really just paying to use their “official” badge on your biz cards and website.

AGTP exists to hand our members the absolute best marketing and sales campaigns we have proven to work.

You’re not going to find any fluff or BS to “beef up” the membership. Or the illusion of value so we can charge more.

We know you don’t have time for that.

Simplicity runs our association.

We’ve found that the more complex client-generating activities are to set up and manage, the less of a chance you’ll implement them.

Full disclosure: we aren’t looking for a lot of people to join AGTP. We’re looking for the right people.

This association is for driven golf teaching pros. Pros who aren’t afraid to work. And don’t make excuses.

If you’re at a point in your career where you want more, and love fun, then you’re one of us.

We hope to see you on the inside.
